Rawya Ahmed Al Malik, born in Dubai 1976.

Studied art education in Emirates University in Al Ain and graduated in 2000.

Works in the Ministry of Education since 2001 as an illustrator, then as a graphic designer and director for school books.

Started oil painting in 2004, and was taught by many artists: Mr. Faris Al Rawi, Mr. Mattar Bin Lahij, Mr Ayman Al Feky and Mr. Alem Ghoshime. Also was taught pastel by UAE's national artist Abdul Rahim Salem.

Other hobbies beside painting and drawing are photography, graphic design and reading.

Won first prize in Al Owais Award for Scientific Invention as the best artwork in 2007
